Sharing Our New Home

As many of you know, we are now comfortably settled into our new digs at 3569 Commercial Street. But as our classes are mostly after hours, our space sits empty a lot of the time. Solution? We would love to share the room, and rent our space out to compatible groups whenever we’re not using it. Interested? Contact us at registration@childbearing.org, or 604-878-1031.

Some of the exciting events happening in our space:

Making Sense of Baby

We are delighted to host guests, Bonnie Davis & Debra Woods, who are both the creators and the leaders of this informative and useful seminar. Learn practical tips on sleep, soothing your baby, and making sense of your baby’s efforts to communicate. Gain insights into your baby’s thoughts & behaviours. Parenting can be so much easier when we know what our babies expect! This course is appropriate for those still pregnant, and also for those with babes-in-arms.

Kangatraining with Monika Ludwig

KANGATRAINING is Europe’s most popular postnatal workout for moms and babies. Designed specifically for postpartum women, KANGATRAINING is a total body workout that enhances cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and strength. Special attention is given to the pelvic floor and core muscles as well as correct posture.

Unlike other exercise classes, moms don’t need to worry about finding a babysitter or minding an unsettled baby during class because the babies get to be part of the action: They spend most of the time in a baby carrier, where the rocking motion puts them at ease. So, if you like baby wearing – this is the perfect workout for you! And it is also a great opportunity to connect with other new moms in the community. Moms should be at least 6 weeks postpartum (10 weeks after c-section). Mobile babies are welcome!

This course is designed to give new (and old) parents confidence and skip the wondering whether you should go to doctor or hospital or not. What to look for when babies or kids fall or bump their heads, pull at their ears, eat things they shouldn’t…the list goes on!  As a new parent, the whole world can seem dangerous! AS an old parent, kids can be dangerous!  Knowing tips and tricks that you can do at home can save you time, worry and reduce your child’s discomfort. 2 hours for $40- please register early as attendance is limited.  June 1st or June 4th
